Nate is already 6 months!!

Nate turned 6 months today and I cant believe it! It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital delivering him! He has grown up so fast! He has accomplished so much in the last 6 months and I cant even imagine what he will being doing in the next 6 months. I love him so much! He has brought such joy to my life and I cant imagine life without him! He has developed such a fun and cute personality! You will rearly ever see him without a smile! Whenever I am feeling down or not having a good day all it takes is his cute smile to cheer me up! Everyone who meets him loves him because he is so happy all the time! He has the cutest laugh and everyone time he starts laughing really hard he gets the hiccups and he will have them for like 20 minutes! Today he crawled up to an outlet and started to pull on a plug and I told him no and he stopped and looked at me and smiled. Then he went back to pull on it and I said nate no and he looked back at me and reached for it and started to smile like he knew he was doing something i didnt want him too, but he thought it was funny. I said nate no do not pull it and he just started laughing! It was the funniest thing! I couldnt help, but laugh. I dont think he is ever going to take me seriously because he ends up just making me laugh! He is going to be just like his dad and be able to sweet talk his way out of everything! He is also really ticklish! For such a little guy he has so much energy! He is on the go all the time and is into everything! It is fun to watch him explore and try new things! He is getting so fast at crawling and is pulling himself up on anything he can. His new favorite is pulling himself up on the coffee table which he can barely see over. It is so cute! He loves it when I read his baby stories to him. It will be weird if he still likes to read when he gets older because both skyler and I are not big readers! He likes baby food, but every time I try to feed it to him he makes a really funny face after the first bite he takes. After that first bite he is fine and wants to eat the full jar most of the time. The first time I gave him apple juice he hated it and wouldnt drink it, but i gave him mixed fruit jucie and apple banana juice and he liked both of those a lot, but he also makes a funny face after the first sip...its so funny! He also loves lemons and doesnt mind that they are sour. So anytime we go to a restaurant we give him a lemon to suck on while we eat. He wants nothing to do with his baby toys most of the time...he would much rather play with my keys, phone, cups, plastic containers, boxes, or water bottles. He will be entertained with any of those things for a while. He also loves little kids and babies! He could watch them all day if he had the chance! The las couple times skyler has come home from work nate will follow him everywhere! He loves his dad and gets so excited when he gets home! He is starting to teeth now and I am just hoping they cut through soon because I can tell they are really bugging him! He has been up all night the last couple nights and his nose is running all the time! This has turned out to be a really long post! So I will just post some pictures of my big boy at 6 months!

My Grandpa's 89!

This past weekend Nate and I went with my mom to california for my grandpa's 89th birthday! It was so fun seeing him! He is getting up there in age, but for the most part he is doing really well! We also got to see and spend time with my Uncle Mike and Aunt Monica. We do not see them very often, so it was nice to be able to catch up! It was their first time seeing nate. Nate loved my uncle! Mike had him laughing so hard! I should have taped it, but I was caught in the moment and didnt think about it. Here is a slideshow of our trip.

Saturday fun!

On saturday I hosted a baby shower for one of the football wives. She is from california and has no family here so a couple of us got together and had a small shower. She is having her baby tomorrow and I am so excited for her! We had a lot of fun playing games and watching her open her presents! She told me I could not post the pictures I took of her, so I will just post the group picture we took :)

Saturday night Skyler had his football game. They had a tuff loss by only losing by a touchdown! Skyler played great and is currently trying to recover from a swollen and bruised thumb that he jammed while warming up for the game!

Update

This past weekend we went up to ogden to watch skyler play in his football game against weber state. The trip was a lot of fun. My friend amy rode up with nate and I and we ended up staying friday night in Sandy with one of my old roommate Kiersten. She has a ten month old son and it was so fun for nate to play with him! They kept smiling and talking to each other in their baby language. It was so cute! We went out to dinner and nate sat in a highchair. He loved every second of it! He felt like such a big boy! He kept looking around at everything and smiling! It was nice for me because he hates staying in his carseat and so i always take him out and hold him, but this time i didnt have to hold him and eat at the same time...so awesome! On saturday I drove up to kaysville where a couple friends from houston and my sisters all got together for the afternoon to talk and catch up. It was so nice to see everyone! Nate was able to see and play with his cousin for a little bit. It was so fun to see my nephew! He is growning up so fast! When we were leaving my sister pointed to the letters on my shirt and tyler would say what letter it was! He is only 18 months and knows 20 of the 26 letters of the alphabet! I wish i would have recorded him saying the letters because he has the cutest little voice! Nate also met another baby friend who is his same age. He had a lot of fun playing wtih Jake's activity center! He was entertained by it for over an hour, so i think i might have to get one of those! For any of you who really know nate you know he does not like to stay in one place for more then a couple minutes and this way he would be contained and entertained! With my luck i will buy it and he will hate it :) After visiting with everyone Nate and I went and watched skyler play football and suprisingly nate was so good at the game!! Normally he hates football games and cries the whole time, but this time he hardly cried at all! He went right to sleep at half time and slept until the game finished! It was heaven!! I actually got to watch the game! When the game finished i wanted to get a picture of our family, but since nate had just woken up he wanted to eat, so he is not very happy in the picture! That night we went and stayed with skylers grandparents in bountiful. It was good to see them! Nate had fun showing them how he can crawl and what a big boy he is becoming! On our way home we stopped by one of skylers mission companions house and saw his family. They have a ten month old daughter and nate enjoyed playing with her toys too! We finally made it home after a short fun weekend at 9:30 at night. Here are some pictures...

5 months

Nate turned five months yesterday and he is getting to be such a big boy! He has learned a lot of new things the past couple weeks and it has been so amazing to watch him! He has such a fun and happy personality! He makes me smile and laugh all the time! He is now crawling all over the place! He loves to get into everything and climb around as much as he can! He is always on the go! He learned how to sit up all by himself. Its funny because he crawls and then after a little bit he will sit up and look around or play with a toy and then he will crawl a little more and then sit up and look around. He loves all baby fods that he has tried and is such a good little eater...as long as he isnt really tired :) He hates loud noises like the vacuum or the croud cheering at a skylers football game. He sucks his thumb which was a little disappointing. He loves to hear himself talk especially when everyone else is quiet (like during the sacrament). He is ticklish and loves it when people make him laugh! He loves babies and little kids and can be entertained by them for hours! He will laugh at them if they make noises or do something he thinks is funny. He is starting to teeth and so he can be a little more cranky at times now, but most of the time he his such a happy baby! I cant believe he is only a month away from being 6 months! Time flys by so fast and i have loved every second of being a mom! How blessed i am to have such a wonderful son! He brings such joy and happiness into my life!
