Its finally in!!

So we have been living in our house since july and we have been working on getting are front yard together for a while now. A few months ago we had the curbing done and then skyler installed the sprinkler system and filled and leveled everything and then last monday we were going to get sod. Well it has been monsoon season in St. George for the last month and so the grass was to wet for turf farms to cut so they said we would have to wait for the grass to dry out. So finally yesterday we were able to go get the sod! Skylers family came over to help us install it which was a huge help! Once it was all in we hooked up the sprinkler timer and tested it out and it works great! So we officially have a lawn now and I LOVE it! It is so nice to look out and see green and not just dirt! Now on to the next project...the planter on the side and front of the house :)

Here are some pictures (the sun was setting so the lighting was horrible so the pictures arent great)

Spray Paint

Here is what a little spray paint can do:

I bought this from a garage sale for $2 and didn't like the color so I spray painted it black

(these aren't the candles I am going to use they are just there for the picture...i need to go buy matching ones :)

I bought 2 white stars for $5 each from a boutique and I spray painted them red to match nates room

Skyler bought me this bird house I wanted for my birthday, but the original color didn't go with my decor so I spray painted it black...it still needs another coat (I ran out of spray paint)

Tagged

My cute friend Liz tagged me and I usually dont do these, but I really enjoyed reading hers and thinking what answers i would put because it brought back a ton of memories! So here it goes :)

10 years ago: When I first saw this I thought to myself ok I was probably in elementary or middle school and when i started counting back 10 years I realized I was a freshman in high school!! I couldn't believe it! For the first time in my life i feel really old! These were the good ole days of cheerleading and just figuring out the high school groove. I had my first "boyfriend" and my first kiss. I think back on it and it makes me laugh!

5 years ago: I had just moved from Houston, Tx to St. George! What a big change that was, but it was the best decision I ever made to move here with my family! I was working at Tenney Clemons Advertising and I just started my first semester of college at Dixie State. I moved out of my parents house to Rebel Creek so I could start meeting people and experience living on my own (even though my family lived 10 minutes away). Oh the good ole college/rebel creek days!

5 months ago: I went to California twice 5 months ago. Once with Liz to go watch our boys play in a football game (one of the best road trips! we had so much fun and made some great memories!) and once with my family for my grandpa's 90th birthday! That was a way fun trip too! I love my grandpa so much and I'm glad he made it to his 90th birthday (i look forward to many more!) We also took nate to the beach for the first time ever! He loved it even though the water was really cold!
