Bailey Newborn photo shoot

We had these newborn pictures of Bailey done 8 days after she was born...I wish we would have done it in the first couple days so she would have slept more. She pretty much cried the whole time, but the photographer was still able to get some good pictures. The pictures were taken by Alyssa Ence Photography...thanks Alyssa!!

We ended up doing another photo shoot of Bailey when she was about a month old so I will post them as soon as I get the cd.

The big brother

Nate is such a great big brother!! He has adjusted so well to having a new member of the family! He is so good and sweet with her and it just melts my heart every time he interacts with her! He has had a few moments when he has gotten frustrated with me because he wants me to play with him or lay down with him at night while I am trying to feed Bailey, but 95% of the time he is ok with waiting or with me reading him a story until I can do what he wants me to. He does hate when she cries and always get so worried! Anytime we are in the car and she is crying and he knows there is nothing I can do about it he does this...

(horrible quality picture...I took it on my phone, I held it up while driving so its really blurry so if you can't tell what he is doing he is plugging his ears ha ha!

Nate loves to play in is one Skyler made. He loved it and was mad when we had to take it down

Nate also loves to play at splash pads! This is him and his 2 older buddies playing

A few firsts during Baileys first week of life!

Baileys first bath at home

Baileys first doctor appointment...5 days old. She dropped a few oz. weighing in at 5lbs 11oz. She was the same height at 19.5 inches long. Doctor said she was doing great!

Waiting in the waiting room
Nurse taking measurements
Dr. Brian making sure she is doing good

First time in her swing that my visiting teacher (Sister Willets) gave us!! So nice!!

First time meeting her cousin Josie! Josie was and still is absolutely smitten by Bailey! She always wants to her's so cute! She now wants her mom (who is pregnant...yay!) to have a baby girl and name her Bailey :) Her mom is in big trouble if this baby is not a girl! When I asked Josie "what if your mom has a baby boy" she replied I already have a brother...I need a baby sister! Ha ha too cute!!

When I asked Nate to come take a picture with them this is what I got...

3 days old
4 days old

Coming home!

The day after having Bailey we were both doing great and decided we were ready to bring our precious baby girl home. So after we both got cleared we got dressed and headed home about 11:30 Monday morning. We put her in her car seat and she was so tiny she didnt even fit! You can sorta tell from the picture that she was so small, but it really doesnt do her justice!

We couldnt find the newborn head part to the car seat we used for Nate so we had to use a towel as a substitute for the first few days
When we got home Nate got to hold Bailey for the first time! It was love at first sight and he didnt want to stop!
Giving Bailey kisses

Nate couldnt get enough of her and kept asking to hold her all day long (excuse the kool-aid around Nate's mouth in the next few pics :)

Then it was time for some much need sleep for Bailey! It takes a lot of work to come into this crazy world!!

Skyler let me get some rest while he watched the kiddos. When I woke up this is how I found the 3 of them. Too cute! Glad Skyler managed to get some sleep too :)

The next day we made sure Nate got some one on one time with us too! So we played baseball (one of his very favorite things!) with him while Bailey slept!

I love this picture of Skyler with the kids and I am so sad its bad quality!

That sums up the first 2 days of being home! I didnt take to many pictures the 2nd day of being home because I was pretty much resting all day long thanks to my mom and mother in law! My mom took Nate all day and Tammy cleaned my house and did my laundry! I am so blessed to have the mom and mother in law I do!
