Updates

Skyler has been playing on a 5 on 5 basketball intermural team for the college and his team is amazing. They have had games every tuesday and thursday night for the last couple months and his team has blown every other team out of the water...they have won every game by at least 20 points! This last tuesday was the championship game against a team they hadnt played yet and they were supposedly really good so they were a little nervous going into it, but they ended up beating the team like 72 to 50 or something like that. They did awesome! Ironically the team name of the team he plays on is TEXAS! We can truly say TEXAS is the best! (no pun intended...ok maybe a little :) Way to go team TEXAS!

Nate got a big battle wound about a week ago...the couch go the best of him. It is his biggest wound yet so I have to document it.

The house is still coming along good. Everything is happening on the inside now so I dont really have pictures to show. They have finished all the electrical and plumbing and are now starting on the sheet rock!

Baby Blessing

This weekend we made the long trek up to Logan, UT to see my sister's baby (Kylee Noelle Bricker) blessed. We decided to drive up on friday afternoon and stay the night in bountiful with Skyler's Grandparents. We wanted to break up the driving time because that is a far drive for a 10 month old and my 23 year old husband :) On the way up we stopped in American Fork to eat dinner and we were able to go with on of Skylers mission companion and his wife and daughter. His daughter was only a couple months older than Nate so it was fun to see them play and interact! We went to Chilis and the wait was forever long for both a table and food so by the time we left Nate was ready for the hour drive to bountiful. It was fun seeing Skyler's grandparents! His grandma is so cute...she had made cinammon rolls for us and they were hot and ready right we got there because she knows they are Skylers favorite and she gave us two extra for the road! They were so cute with Nate and they were really patient with him even though he tried to destory everything he could reach! Saturday we drove up to Logan and spent the day with my family. We went to lunch and then to an arcade place. It was fun being with my whole family! We are only all together on holidays now since we are all pretty much grown up and living our own lives so I look forward to the holidays so much! I love it when we get together and treasure every moment! Sunday we went to the blessing which was beautiful. Afterwards my sister had a luncheon which was really yummy! We left after that and made the long trek back home! Nate did awesome in the car! I was so proud and thankful! He didnt cry at all the whole way home which was about an 8 hour drive and he was awake from beaver to st. george but he was content just playing and dancing to the songs on the radio.

Fun Weekend

Our weekend started off going to dinner with friends friday night. We went to Pasta Factory and then after that we went to the Dixie State Basketball game. I left and took Nate home at half time because he was feeling really sick. His eyes were really swollen and he was running a fever. Needless to say Skyler and I were up with him all night! He started feeling better Saturday and so we went out to lunch with my family for my Grandma's Birthday. It was a lot of fun and really yummy. Later that afternoon we got together with some friends and took advantage of the nice weather and went out to Sand Cove. We had a camp fire, fished, shot guns, and played some football. It was so pretty where we were and we had a lot of fun. On our way home we stopped and ate at a little cafe and they had really good food! All in all we had a great weekend!

Nate's new thing is throwing. He loves to throw balls!

They poured the footings on our lot! Here are some pictures of our lot during the day so you can actually see it.

Our house is under way!

2 nights ago we drove by our lot and they had started digging the footings! Yesterday they compacted them and hopefully they get the permit today and they can start filling them. It is really exciting to see things happening! Our house should be done in May and I am so excited! Here is a picture of me standing in front of the lot. It is at night and it is raining so the quality isnt the best.

Flag football just came to an end and my husbands team did such a good job! They played in the championship game which turned out to be a really close game! There were quite a few really bad calls against us which led to us losing by a touchdown in the last second of the game! Congrats boys on a season well played!

The best 2 years!

Today is Skyler and I's 2nd anniversary! The last 2 years have been amazing and I cant wait to see what the future holds for our family! Skyler is so wonderful and i cant even express how much I love him! He works so hard to provide for our family and succeed in life! I am so proud of him and all his hard work. He means so much to me and I cant imagine not having him in my life! I am so glad I will be with him for eternity! I love you babe!

We celebrated our anniversary this past weekend. Skyler suprised me by taking me to Vegas where we stayed at the Belliago! It was so nice! Definitely the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in! We had a snack bar and fridge in our room and the food was motion scensored! So if you touched any of it, it was charged to your room! Crazy huh? It is a good thing Nate wasnt with us because we would have had a hefty bill by the end of the trip! Skylers parents watched nate for us so we had friday night and saturday all to ourselves! Thank you guys again! We had so much fun! It was my first time leaving nate for that long and over night so I was missing him like crazy, but it was definitley nice to have a getaway with just Skyler!
