Excuses

I have been the worst blogger ever! I have never been real great at it, but I have always tried posting at least once a week. Since my camera broke at disneyland I havent been able to take pictures as much as i would like and for some reason I feel like I cant blog if I dont have pictures to post with it! So my first excuse is no pictures=no posts! Skyler has taken a few pictures of what we have been doing on his phone and I just upload those to my computer last night. So now I have something to blog about! Two weeks ago for fhe we built some much needed shelves in our garage! Despite all the people that doubted us we did it all by ourselves! I think they turned out great!






This past week for fhe we went to the lake with skyler's brothers! It was a lot of fun! The sun had pretty much gone down so it was starting to get chilly, especially when the boat was going so Nate and I were bundled up in sweatshirts as the boys wake-boarded in 60 degree water...CRAZY! The water was pure glass so they couldnt help themselves! They had to suck it up and get in! We were the only boat out there so we had the whole lake to ourselves! It was nice! Needless to say they have been to the lake 4 or 5 times this year already!

Disneyland, Seaworld, and the Beach = FUN!

Last weekend we went to California with my sister-in-law and her family! We are so thankful for them inviting us to go with them! We had so much fun! We are going to have to do it again sometime! Seaworld was probably nates favorite because he loves animals! He was so excited to see all the whales, penguins, polar bear, dolphins, sea lions, sharks, flamingos and fish! Unfortunately my camera broke while we were at disneyland, but thank goodness I have a wonderful sister-in-law that took pictures for us! Thanks Amy! Nate's favorite thing at disneyland was the carousal (probably because that is the first thing we did.) He didnt want to stop riding it! He liked going through toon town and all the characters houses and he liked It's a Small World. He was not a fan of the rides that were inside tunnels and dark (like Pirates of the Carribean.) He liked going to the beach and playing in the sand, but surprisingly he didnt want anything to do with the water! I think he was scared the waves were going to come get him :) We ended our trip on mothers day and drove the 6 hours home! The kids did so good in the car on the way home...i guess that was their mother's day gift to Amy and I! Honestly I couldnt think of a better gift!

Some of our best friends moved and we are so sad they did! Skyler and I met through Judd Thompson and he has always been a really good friend of ours! Skyler and Judd played football together at Dixie College and Judd was in my Geology class along with one of my roomies. My roommate and I would always go study with Judd and then play games or just hang out at his apartment afterwards. Skyler was always over there hanging out and it was there our relationship formed :) Skyler also happened to be in my biology class so that helped too :) Anyways Judd has always been there for Skyler and I since the beginning! He has been such a good friend! He then found the love of his life and introduced her to us and we fell in love with her too! She is the sweetest and nicest person you will ever met! Oh and she is drop dead GORGEOUS too! Liz and I became really good friends over the last year! We went on road trips together to see our boys play in there football games and we had a sleepover when they were at an away game we couldnt make it to. We did crafts together and would make dinner and dessert for our hubbies together quite a few times! She is so easy to talk to and I could tell her anything! We have made so many great memories together and I miss her like crazy! Thanks Judd and Liz for always being such great friends! We love yall and can't wait to come visit you in Chicago! We wish you the best of luck with life and your new job opportunities! XOXOXOXOXO!!!!!

Summer is almost here!

Summer is almost here and I realized I really need a new swimsuit! Its hard to find cute modest swimsuits where I live and I just saw that Lime Ricki is doing a giveaway! They have the cutest swimsuits and I really really want one! I entered the contest here! I hope I win!

My first sewing project ever!

Today Liz {my super amazing talented friend} came over and taught me how to sew! I have done it maybe one time before but I was just goofing around not really making anything. My mother in law made me the cutest pillows when Skyler and I were married, but the yarn on them started to frae really bad and I had red fuzz balls every where so I decided it was time to recover the pillows! So here are some before/during/after photos...

Nate is 2!!!

I cant believe it, but my baby turned 2 this last week!! I dont know where the time has gone, but sure has flown right by! He has grown up into such a fun little boy! He has such a loving personality! He is so sweet! He loves to give hugs and kisses and say I love you and it just melts my heart every time! He is definitely all boy! He runs more than anyone I have ever met and never gets tired of it! His favorite thing ever is to be chased! He could play that game for hours! Everyone who sees him for the first time and watches what he is doing always say...he must keep you are your toes! That statement couldnt be truer! I wouldnt want it any other way though! Even with as much energy as he has he will sit and watch almost any disney movie all the way through if you turn one on for him! He loves movies!! We have gone to see Princess and the Frog at the movie theater twice and he sat through the whole movie both times! He is so smart...it amazes me the things he will say and do! He is my little copy cat and it hilarious watching him try to copy the things i do! He still loves to be my little helper! He makes me laugh and smile everyday! I couldnt imagine life with out my little nate! I love him so much!

Well on his birthday morning we walked into his room singing happy birthday and he didnt know quite what to think! After a minute he warmed up and became his cute little self! I made him a special birthday breakfast of a heart shaped waffle with chocolate chip smiley face! He loved eating the chocolate chips off! Later that afternoon we went and got wendys and went and played at the park with Grandma Nelson! We had so much fun!

Friday night we celebrated his birthday at his grandma ences and had a pool party (thanks tammy)! He LOVES swimming and was so excited all day! Once we got there he wanted to get in the pool right away, but we told him he had to eat first. He didnt mind to much because he also LOVES pizza! He did have to wear his tube around him while he eat his pizza though! It was so funny! After pizza we decided to have him open his presents first because we knew once he got in the water he wouldnt want to get out! He was spoiled rotten! He got so many fun presents from everyone and he LOVES every single one!! He has been none stop playing with them since that night! It has been nice for me because I havent really had to entertain him at all :) Thank you to everyone who came and for your gifts! We really appreciate it! We love you all and thank you so much for helping us celebrate this special time!!
