My anniversary present 11 days early!

So my old computer died and I havent had one for what seems to have been a year and yesterday we got new one! I was using a sony pc laptop and my husband has a mac laptop. He is huge apple fan now after having the mac computer, I touch and I phone so he wanted to get an imac for our home computer. They are pretty pricey so we have been putting off getting me one until we could afford one (I assumed it would be another few months). Yesterday we found an AMAZING deal on a 20" imac computer! It is so nice and so big! Everything is so clear and crisp (its like HD tv but on a computer!) I feel like I am looking at a tv screen! I was worried about getting a mac because I am not use to them, but I LOVE it! I now prefer it over a regular pc computer! I guess my husband converted me to be an apple lover too :)

It has been forever!

I know it has been forever since I have posted, but I promise we are still alive and doing awesome! My computer offically died about 2 weeks ago and so thats why I havent been able to blog or really be on the computer at all! I am at my moms house now using her computer so I thought I better give at least some kind of update! So here is a brief one...our christmas and new years was so wonderful and definitely one of the best! We were all so spoiled and it was so nice being with all our family! I really missed my sister amanda being here though! It just wasnt quite the same without her here! Its weird to think that next christmas Amanda, my brother Ty, and my brother-in-law Justin will all be on missions! What a blessing that will be for our family, but it will be crazy not to have the be with us!

Oh and I FINALLY finished painting Nates room! That took way longer then I expected! I dont think I will ever do something that detailed again! From now on I will just paint one solid color or maybe a few stripes or something! I love how it turned out and I am glad I did it, but it is definitely a one time thing! Now its time decorate (lets hope that doesnt take as long!) I have pictures on my camera, but I didnt bring the cord with me so I will have to upload those later! Sorry!

Skyler finished school last semester and has LOVED not going back! He made sure he rubbed it into his brothers that they had to go back and he didnt! He finished off last semester with a 4.0 and I am so proud of him! He is so amazing and smart and I just love him to death!

Nate is as cute and entergetic as ever and I cant believe he will be 2 in less than 3 months! Where has the time gone?! He is such a joy in my life and I cant imagine life without him! He is smart just like his dad! He talks quite a bit now and it is so fun! He is starting to say short phrases and its so cute! His newest is "have good day dad" He absolutely loves cars and balls! He got a little tackling inflatable punching bag type thing and he loves playing with that too! We say "READY" and he crouches down and then we say "HUT HUT" and he runs at it and tackles it to the ground! Its the cutest thing ever! We video taped it and I will have to post that too! He also is in a stage where he has to have every ball and teddy bear he owns in his crib with him we he goes to bed! Its so funny! He hardly has any room to sleep, but somehow he manages to squeeze in the middle of all of them so he is outlined by all his toys!

Christmas time is here!

Yea! Christmas is almost here! I love this time of year!! From decorations to shopping to yummy treats to family, but most of all I love the reason for this time of year! I think there is a reason we celebrate the birth of christ at the end of the year! This month brings everyone whether they realize it or not closer to our savior. People in general are nicer and more willing to serve. Its a time when everyone thinks of others instead of themselves. What better way is there to end our year then thinking about and celebrating our savior! Every year ends on such an uplifting note and makes me want to be better throughout the next year! I cant help but feel so much love for christ and what he has done for me and all of us! I am so thankful to know I am a daughter of God, that chirst has atoned for my sins and through him and because of him I can be made perfect! I am thankful I can feel of his love everyday and for his example! Let us all remember the true reason for the season! This past week our family has been putting up our chirstmas decorations. Halloween 2009

Halloween this year was so fun! I started off the day by going to the temple at 6am to do baptisms with the ym & yw of our ward. Even though it was so early, it was a great way to start the day!! That afternoon nate and I went to skylers football game. It was senior day because it was their last home game of the season. Skyler's parents, Nate and I escorted him and it was hard for me to keep myself from crying! I am sad that it is all coming to an end so fast! Normally at this time I am ready for football season to be done for him, but knowing this is his last one makes me want it not to end. Ever since I have known Skyler he has been playing football. It is weird that from now on he wont be playing football at a college level. City Leauge here we come :) He played a great game and I am so proud of him! After the game we came home and I started getting Nates halloween costume ready. He was bamm-bamm/caveman. He was so cute and made the perfect bamm bamm/caveman! I made him a little bat thing to carry around and surprisingly he carried it the whole hour and a half we went trick or treating! He looked so adorable holding his bat in one hand and his trick or treating bag around his shoulder. We went with Nate's two cousin, Josie and Dallin who als looked so cute! Josie was a pink tinkerbell and Dallin was peter pan! I was worried nate wouldnt do well and wouldnt get the concept, so it was nice that Josie was there to help him! They were so cute and by the third door nate knew exactly what to do! It was so funny! They would run up to the door and Nate would either knock or bang his little bat on the door or sometimes both :) the people would answer and he would reach in the bowl and grab his candy. We would stick it in his trick or treating bag and every time without fail he would say thank you! At one of the last houses, he ran up to the door and knocked and said "trick or treat" before they even opened the door! It was the cutest thing ever! I couldnt believe how fast he caught on! He didnt always say trick or treat, but it was so cute to see them go to each door and get there candy and then run back to the street were everyone else was waiting and then move right along to the next house. We would see people along the way we knew and would stop and talk for a minute, but Nate wouldnt have it! There was candy to be getting mom! He would pull my finger any time I tried to stop! They pretty much ran from house to house! I was suprised how long they lasted! I thought we would go to about 10 houses and they would get tired and cranky and want to stop, but we went to most of the houses in the neighborhood! They were such good sports and made halloween so fun for me! I love being a mom! I am so thankful I have Skyler and Nate in my life! They mean everything to me and I love them death! They make life fun and I look forward to waking up each day and sharing it with them! I love this time of year, it is my absolute favorite! Everything about it is great from the decorations, to the festivities, to being with family, to the food and everything else...I just LOVE it!!
